GLENN HUGHES With MOONSTONE PROJECT: More Details Revealed

According to Deep-Purple.it, legendary vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, TRAPEZE) will join Italian guitarist Matt Filippini's MOONSTONE PROJECT for eight dates in Italy in May. Hughes will be on stage for the second half of the set, and will perform DEEP PURPLE, TRAPEZE and solo-career classics along with the MOONSTONE PROJECT tracks he sang on the "Time to Take a Stand" album.

MOONSTONE PROJECT touring lineup is as follows:

As previously reported, more than 2,000 Bulgarian and Romanian rock fans rushed to the Bulgarian coastal town Kavarna to hear Hughes perform. The concert was organized to celebrate the town's holiday, May 6. Check out pictures at Pro-Rock.net.

"I am happy that I have been conferred the title 'Honorary citizen of Kavarna'," Hughes said in an interview with Focus-Varna Radio.

The main reason for Glenn's visit to Bulgaria was to support the Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death on charges of deliberately infecting Libyan children with HIV. Hughes said that he intended to make the cause popular among his colleagues. He added that he and other rock stars plan to organize a concert in support of the nurses.
